November
2005
November was really cold. I mean really cold. The average
temperature was in the forties. Normally I don’t care
what the weather is like, but now I am checking the Internet
daily to find out the best time to accumulate. This temperature
issue caused me to seek places that have a higher number of
people willing to give their opinions. I would like the project
to have me visit more diverse locations throughout the city,
but this seems to be harder because I can’t stay out
for two hours each time. So for November I chose all shopping
centers, which yielded my second YES majority on Bedford Ave.

Notable Story: While at the Fulton Mall, I was drawing a lot
of attention to myself as per usual. I got several dirty looks.
A lot of the young girls would look me up and down, then look
me in the eyes, and give me their most direct and forceful
“HEELLL NOO!” After maybe twenty minutes of this,
a man who seemed very interested in my spectacle came up and
inquired as to my motives. I explained myself and the project,
after which he decided I needed his help and became my unofficial
barker. In a very heavy Jamaican accent he would yell or sing
to passers by, inviting them to tell me I was beautiful: “The
boy needs to know if he’s pretty. Come on ladies, come
right on down, let this boy know what you think right now!"
Process:
On the streets and in a variety of public places I will approach
people asking them the question, "Do I have the Perfect
Body?"
