This month I set to the task of dismantling my bag monster from the first exhibition. The bags had been individually scrunched into balls and tied with light-weight fishing line and then tied to each other with thicker gauge line. All together the ball had 1,011 bags needing to be cut loose and organized. The total process took over 30 hours spread out over 6 days. By the time it was completely dismantled I didn't have much energy left for autographing them so that will have to wait until next month.

Process: I am accumulating all plastic shopping bags left on the street that I encounter each time I go outside. A record is being kept of how many bags are accumulated each day for the course of the project year. For each plastic bag I accumulate I will create one reusable canvas bag.
