Monthly Statement:
November 2005
This month I took as many old school Beastie Boys posters from Soho and Tribeca as I could find (because I've always been a big fan). That's not a boom-box, that's a jam-box.

I finished the Tupac piece that I began collecting posters for two months ago (check out October on the site) and called it "There's No Compromise When It's Time to Die". I used the Poohtang poster in the bottom right corner of the piece, which is 5'5" x 4' and was exhibited along with my Newport cigarette piece titled "George Bush Doesn't Care about Black People" (check here) in the first accumulation project show at the Lunarbase Gallery in Williamsburg.

I also took some more interesting posters from Chelsea that are for a "Snowball Party" at Scores, which seems to be a topless bar. I'm going to use those posters along with the Dennis Rodman "Pimps and Hoes" Halloween party posters from last month to make a piece in January.

Also, my website should be completely updated this week at:
http://www.chamuconegro.com.

Process: I will gather advertising posters from public spaces (as many of a specific kind as possible) and create collages from them.

Accumulate: Advertising posters

Accumulator: Michael Anderson
