Monthly Statement:
May 2006
About 3 weeks into being in Naples Italy I had my studio all
set up. I bought lumber and constructed a table 243 cm x 243
cm which is 8' x 8' square and began work in my Italian studio.
I worked about 70 hours a week to produce the exhibition.
I combined posters from NYC and Mexico City with the indigenous
posters from Naples. I also had a poster made and it was put
up all over Naples to advertise the exhibition. The people
really went crazy for my work and I obtained a lot of press
which is still coming in and being published. Here are some
photos of my neopolitan studio and the work in progress. The
June update will have the finished works for general perusal.
Best,
Michael Anderson

Process:
I
will gather advertising posters from public spaces (as many
of a specific kind as possible) and create collages from them.
